Before any serious work, make sure you check BePeers' Entertainment Centre. There are several games and activities that can help the coach and coachee build rapport and feel comfortable with each other.

For example, the Autobiography Interview or "Getting to Know You" board game can provide really useful information about yourself and your peer's hobbies, interests, and strengths.

As you build a relationship with your peer, learn more about the activities they enjoy or the long-term dreams they have.

This will help you both when you sit down to identify goals. Think back to what you’ve learned about each other – What can you help your peer improve or work on?

Tip: These activities can be completed throughout the journey. There is no rush to complete each question or activity in the Habits & Goals section. Sometimes, you might just hang out in the entertainment center. However, it would be helpful to at least refer to your goal at the beginning or the end of each coaching session

Introduction to Peer Goals

Setting Effective and meaningful goals require three main steps:

  1. Choose your “big goal.”
  2. Discuss the purpose of your goal.
  3. Break the big goal into smaller steps (and fill out a goal ladder!).

We've made it easy to follow these three steps. The chapter below will guide you and your peer through the process.
